In the middle of its architectural jewels, you will be able to enjoy a stroll in the gardens, or below the arches of Place des Vosges, with its perfect facades. Not far from there, the Carnavalet Museum presents the history of Paris. The nearby district of République is also very lively and offers a large choice of restaurants. Slightly further away, Ile Saint-Louis, behind Notre-Dame Cathedral, is well worth a visit. The ice-cream parlour, Berthillon, is famous for making the best sorbets in all Paris and can be found at the crossroads between Rue Saint-Louis en l'Ile and Rue des Deux-Ponts.
